BLEACH GREEN COTTAGE (Visit England 3 star) - Ennerdale, Cleator, Cumbria, CA23 3AS

Bleach Green Cottage is one of a pair built in 1866,

originally occupied by the manager and assistant of the Ennerdale bleach works (now demolished) where locally grown flax (linen) was bleached in the nearby river Ehen.

There is central heating & double glazing throughout plus a wood fired stove in the living room for chilly evenings. Sleeping is provided in one double and two single beds plus the option of a double bed/settee in the lounge, bringing adult accommodation up to six.

There is also a crib or cot available upon request.

Dogs are welcome.

The kitchen/diner can seat and serve six, with sufficient

seating in the lounge for the same number. Outside, a

selection of garden furniture plus the patio helps one enjoy

warm summer evenings.
