The Society performs shows, some well known - some not so well known, for the people of Whitehaven.
A wide range of material has been covered: "The Rose of Araby" to "The Wizard of Oz" - one of their great successes of the 1990's, from Gilbert & Sullivan to Strauss and Offenbach to Lionel Bart. WADAOS have presented murder mysteries, comedies, American musicals like "Oklahoma" and musicals based on the hard life and times of West Cumbria, as it was in the early part of the century - "The Hired Man", based on Melvyn Bragg's novel, was their Centennial production in February 2005.
